Garage a total loss after Boone County fire

A garage was considered a total loss Monday morning after it caught fire in north Boone County.

Boone County Fire Protection District officials were called out to the fire in the 1900 block of West Dripping Springs Road after 6:30 a.m. Monday.

One of the two cars inside the garage caught fire and caused the rest of the structure to go up in flames, according to fire officials on scene. The car outside of the garage was not the one that originally caught fire, officials on scene said.

No one was hurt in the incident, but fire investigators were still looking into what caused the fire. Firefighters were taking down parts of the garage to make sure there were no unseen fires in the structure.

First responders did not know when the road would be back open.
