Warming trend for the first two days of the week
MONDAY: Temperatures moderate as winds die down into Monday. We’ll see continued sunshine with temperatures reaching the low 40s for the start of the work week as winds come in from the southeast up to 10 mph.
TONIGHT: Its a calm but cold night as temperatures drop into the low 20s through morning time. We will see passing clouds with easterly winds up to 5-8 mph.
EXTENDED: Tuesday we continue the warming trend, getting into the mid to upper 40s in the afternoon. Our next shot at precipitation moves in Wednesday as another cold front moves through. A few light rain showers are possible Wednesday with areas of freezing rain to the north. By the afternoon winds shift to the north bringing falling temperatures, leaving us colder Wednesday night and Thursday. There is a chance of a light wintry mix early Thursday as an upper level disturbance passes through. We’ll stay in the low to mid 30s Thursday but will warm back into the 40s Friday before arctic air arrives for the first weekend of March. Highs will only reach into the 20s Saturday, dropping into the single digits Saturday night. The arctic air looks like it will hang around through the weekend.
