March-Like temperatures hold across Mid-Missouri Sunday

TONIGHT: After a very mild afternoon, with near record temperatures, we’re slowly beginning to see the air begin to cool across Mid-Missouri… however we’ll be slow, for January standards, to drop off this evening. Expect 40s through at least 1 & 2am with our lows in the mid 30s. Some patchy fog is possible as well, especially before 7am.

SUNDAY: After a chilly start to the day, we’re going to watch temperatures on their way back up to the middle 50s by the afternoon hours. We’re going to see a lot more cloud cover as well, and then will help keep temperatures from hitting 60 degrees again. We’ll also see steadily increasing winds through the afternoon and into the evening.

EXTENDED: We’re going to be tracking some breezy weather Sunday night into Monday morning ahead of a cold front that will drape an area of showers across Mid-Missouri through the AM rush hour. Rainfall totals for most of Mid-MO look to stay under .25″ of an inch with the highest amounts falling in our northeastern counties. Beyond that, we’re tracking a second, more powerful cold front Tuesday evening that will bring us closer to reality with temperatures in the low 40s to close out the week.
