Plane lands safely after electrical problem
A small plane landed safely at Jefferson City Memorial Airport Friday after it was diverted from Columbia Regional Airport.
According to firefighters on scene, the pilot of the six-seater aircraft lost use of some electrical equipment, including the lights on the plane. The pilot tried to land in Columbia but could not safely do so because of the dense fog in the area.
Per airport protocol, the plane was diverted to Jefferson City where it landed safely.
