Woman in Moberly accused of assaulting two officers

A woman is facing two charges of third-degree assault after authorities said she assaulted two officers.

In a news release from Moberly Police Department, Sgt. B. Calvert said officers found Marybeth Baggett walking into traffic on U.S. Highway 24 near U.S. Highway 63.

At around 2 p.m. Friday, the officers detained Baggett. When they tried to evaluate Baggett, she allegedly assaulted two officers, leaving both with minor injuries.

Baggett is being held at Randolph County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
