Boone County deputies arrest two for warrants, drugs
Two men are in custody in the Boone County jail Saturday morning on drug charges and outstanding warrants, according to a press release.
Deputies said they searched for John Calvert, 36, of Columbia around 9 p.m. Friday in the 1100 block of Eastland Circle. Deputies said Calvert had felony arrest warrants for violating probation for convictions of dangerous drugs, driving while intoxicated and forgery.
Deputies said when they found Calvert in the area, he had a small amount of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Deputies also arrested Gary Todd, 57, of Columbia, who had several active misdemeanors, including failure to appear and traffic warrants for his arrest.
Deputies searched Todd’s home and found an assortment of Schedule II narcotics, including methamphetamine, hydrocodone and Adderall. Deputies said they also found evidence of possible drug sales in Todd’s home.
Calvert was taken to the Boone County jail on possible charges of possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and four probation violation warrants.
Todd was taken to the Boone County jail on possible charges of delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear traffic warrants.
