Another pleasant day on tap before the return of the heat
MONDAY: Monday we are tracking an upper level wave which doesn’t have much moisture with it, but it will bring some increasing clouds across the area. Temperatures will remain on the seasonal side as we likely touch 80 degrees tomorrow afternoon. With the passage of that system, winds will swing out of the southwest, ushering in the beginning of this week’s return to the warmth.
TONIGHT: AWe will see mostly cloudy skies to start the night, but clouds will gradually decrease by morning time as overnight lows drop towards 60 degrees. Winds overnight will remain light.
EXTENDED: We continue to stay dry through midweek, but we’re watching a series of disturbances developing along a growing ridge of high pressure over the central plains. With the growing ridge we are going to see a nice warm up we head through the middle of this week. Expect highs in the mid 80s Tuesday, which will climb into the upper 80s close to 90 by Wednesday, both days with sunny skies. We will see an unsettled weather pattern developing across Mid-Missouri as we begin to see increasing rain chances into the weekend, starting Thursday. We’ll continue to track any thunderstorm risks headed into that timeframe. Make sure you stick with ABC17 for the latest updates in your forecast!
