CenturyLink says phone number and address correct in 911 call Officer Morton responded to
In a statement released by CenturyLink, the phone company used in Henry County, the correct phone number and address was provided when the 911 call came in that ended in the death of Officer Christopher Ryan Morton.
“CenturyLink takes all public safety issues seriously, particularly those involving
first responders. We conducted a thorough investigation which shows that
when the 911 call was placed, CenturyLink provided the correct phone number
and address.”
ABC 17 previously reported that a trooper with the Missouri State Highway Patrol confirmed the 911 call received by dispatch was traced back to Windsor, Missouri, a town 15 miles from Clinton and didn’t originate at the home where Officer Morton was shot and killed by James Waters.
