UPDATE: Murder suspect pleads guilty to murder in Callaway County
UPDATE 9:32 A.M.: Horton withdrew his not guilty plea and pleaded guilty to two counts of murder.
The judge asked Horton if he knowingly caused the death of Joshua Griffin and Sherry Horton by shooting them, and he said yes to both.
Horton was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
ORIGINAL STORY: A plea hearing is scheduled Thursday in the murder case against Dale Horton.
Horton, along with Jennifer Grayson, is accused of killing his mother, Sherry Horton, and brother-in-law, Joshua Griffith, on April 26, 2016.
Horton is also charged with two counts of armed criminal action, burglary, assault and tampering with a motor vehicle.
The hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. at the Callaway County courthouse in Fulton.
