Axium Plastics to come to Jefferson City
The Jefferson City Area Chamber of Commerce announced on Friday that Axium Plastics will be opening a new manufacturing facility in Jefferson City. The company designs and manufactures plastic bottles.
“We commend Jefferson City, Cole County, the Chamber of Commerce and their business partners for the effort they put forward during our selection process,” said Tammy Hoffman, Chief Operating Officer with Axium Plastics. “The benefits associated with this location made Jefferson City the best option for our manufacturing facility. We appreciate all of the support from the community and are excited about the opportunities that the Capital City will provide. Axium will be investing $25 million into this site and creating at least 70 new jobs to the community.”
“We are very pleased and excited Axium Plastics has selected Jefferson City as its new location. This project has truly been a great partnership between many entities all working together toward a great project that will have a long term impact on our community,” said Jefferson City Mayor Carrie Tergin.
Axium Plastics will be located at the Chamber owned speculative building on Shamrock Road in the Partnership Business Park. The Chamber constructed the building as an economic development tool to recruit new business to the area.
