Sunshine in abundance next week

After spotty showers Sunday, next week is in for a change. Upper level flow largely impacts the weather down at the surface. An upper level trough through the eastern United States will help high pressure at the surface dominate mid-Missouri next week. For you, this translates to dry and warm conditions with clear and sunny skies! Southerly winds will help pump in warm air leading to temperatures in the 80s.

Sunshine tracker shows decreasing cloud cover by Monday, with mostly sunny skies. Tuesday is looking to be completely sunny. As the upper level flow weakens, the end of the week is looking to bring slightly more cloud cover. By Thursday the percent of sunshine drops to 70%.

We can expect dew point in the 50s allowing for low humidity values and very comfortable conditions.

With plenty of sunshine, temperatures in the low to mid 80s, and low humidity, next week is going to be the perfect time to get outside and enjoy the weather. It is important to note that the UV index is forecasted to be a 9 all week long, which is considered very high. As you head outside make sure to wear sun block and eye protection since the sun’s rays are very damaging when the UV index is this high.
