Callaway County man arrested after leading police on chase

Fulton police said they got a tip around 11:15 p.m. Saturday that a Callaway County man being sought on a felony warrant for his arrest was at the 300 block of west 8th Street.

When police arrived in the area, they found a car stopped in the street with someone inside who they believed was Malik Robinson, 21, the man they were seeking.

The officer tried to conduct a traffic stop by turning on the emergency lights, but the car pulled away, police said.

The officer followed the car with the emergency lights and sirens activated.

Police said the car continued to drive for several minutes and made a large circle through the city of Fulton before coming to a stop in the 300 block of West 8th Street.

Police identified the driver as Robinson and took him into custody.

Police arrested Robinson on several charges, including two separate Callaway County warrants, driving while revoked, resisting arrest and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.

The Callaway County Sheriff’s Department and Missouri State Highway Patrol both assisted with the chase.

Police said no one was injured during the incident.
