Water and Light crews have solution to southwest irrigation problems
On Wednesday, the Water and Light Advisory Board met to discuss summer irrigation planning.
Last summer, southwestern neighborhoods were issued a boil advisory after they noticed a drop in water pressure.
Water and Light crews believed the problem was irrigation systems going off on the same days.
On Wednesday, members discussed ways to prevent the same problem reoccurring.
Members said their immediate plan is asking residents to help them change their irrigation routine.
Their plan is for residents with odd house numbers to irrigate their yards on odd days, and the same plan goes for residents with even house numbers.
Members said they are still looking into a more permanent plan, but they believe this summer’s plan could work.
