Sturgeon Middle School notifies parents about bed bug

A letter went out to parents in the Sturgeon school district this week after a bed bug was found in a classroom.

The letter says a middle school student opened his backpack and pulled out homework and a bed bug crawled out of the papers.

The district says an immediate control plan was established by the administrative team and a school nurse. The plan included notifying the involved family and consulting a licensed pest control professional.
