Monday January 23 Morning Weather

TODAY: It will be a cooler morning with temperatures in the mid 30s with a northwest wind near 10 mph. Some patchy fog is possible for those west of US 63 through 10AM. Dense Fog is not expected. Broken clouds this morning will give way to afternoon sun. Temperatures will reach the mid to upper 40s with a northwest wind becoming light under 7 mph.

TONIGHT: Skies will clear briefly with winds becoming calm through 9PM. Winds will shift and become southerly overnight with temperatures reaching the low 30s. Patchy fog will be possible early on Tuesday morning.

EXTENDED: On Tuesday a south breeze will kick in with winds gusting to 20 mph in the afternoon. Temperatures will warm to the mid 50s under a partly sunny to mostly cloudy sky. Light rain will be possible from 7PM through 1AM Wednesday morning bringing .01 to .10″ to those north of I-70. The associated cold front will bring a wind shift on Wednesday with sustained winds from the west/northwest near 12-15 mph gusting to 25 mph. Rain will be possible in the afternoon from 12PM-5PM again mainly for those north of I-70. As colder air will be working in, some snowflakes will be possible, while no snow accumulation is expected. Temperatures Wednesday night will fall to the upper 20s leaving a cold, and dry, but more seasonable end to the work week with highs in the mid to upper 30s and nights in the upper 20s.
