Columbia woman arrested for DWI, leaving scene of accident

Officers were dispatched to a leaving the scene of an accident in the 3200 block of Belinda Court on Saturday. Kirsten Ellen Cloyd was driving a motor vehicle when she left the road in front of 3211 Belinda Court, destroying the post and the mailbox.

Cloyd then drove her vehicle back onto the roadway, drove to the wrong side of the road and struck two parked trucks. Witnesses came out of a residence when they heard the mailbox being hit, and saw a white Hyundai Elantra traveling south from the location and hit two parked cars.

Cloyd got out of the car and went into a residence on Belinda Court. Officers arrested Cloyd for driving on right of highway, driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident.
