Cold nights, changeable temperatures

Clear skies and light winds will allow temperatures to fall into the mid to upper 30s Wednesday night as an area of high pressure remains over the area. Areas of frost are possible by early Thursday morning, more likely in the Ozarks where a Frost Advisory continues until 9 AM Thursday.

The cold air won’t stick around Thursday as southwesterly winds warm us into the 60s in the afternoon with abundant sunshine. Another cold front moves through early Friday morning, once again shifting our winds to the north and sending cooler air into Mid-Missouri. Lows Friday night into Saturday morning will dip into the low to mid 30s, possibly touching the freezing mark north of I-70.

The cooler air will stick around for the start of the weekend with slight warm-up heading into the start of next week as highs reach the low to mid 60s.
