MU confirms four cases of Mumps

University of Missouri officials have confirmed that four students contracted mumps, and five students are currently being tested for the virus.

All of the students infected- or possibly infected- have had their required two doses of MMR vaccines before attending the university, according to Dr. Susan Even, executive director of the Student Health Center. None of the students are staying in university housing.

Even said the symptoms are similar to the flu, but patients will also have facial swelling or soreness.
