Crash outside of Columbia sends one person to the hospital
An 82-year-old woman was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries Friday evening following a car crash in Boone County.
The crash happened just outside of Columbia on Route B just south of Highway HH around 7:50 p.m.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Dorothy Christy was driving south on Route B and stopped to make a left hand turn.
Troopers said a 17-year-old driver then hit Christy’s car. The teen driver and two other 16-year-old passengers suffered minor injuries, but refused medical treatment.
Everyone was wearing their seatbelt during the crash.
