Ethics Commission rules to fine former city council candidate Daryl Dudley

The Missouri Ethics Commission has ruled to fine former fourth ward city council candidate Daryl Dudley.

The commission issued the ruling just last week.

This comes after Dudley failed to disclose major contributions to his campaign in the time state law dictates.

Dudley says he filed the contributions with the Boone County Clerk. However, he apparently did not also file them with the MEC, as required by law.

Dudley suspended his campaign in March amid the controversy.

The MEC is now fining Dudley $2,000 dollars. However, if he pays $200 of that within 45 day, he can apparently avoid paying the full amount.
