Five teens, one adult injured in bus crash in Callaway County
Five teenagers and an adult were hurt in a bus crash Monday morning, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash happened on County Road 438 about a half mile west of County Road 425, in between Mokane and Fulton. Troopers say the bus hit a raised portion of the road while moving through a low water crossing shortly before 8 a.m.
The impact caused the victims to hit the roof of the bus, leading to moderate and minor injuries. All but one were taken to hospitals in Columbia; the sixth victim opted to seek their own treatment.
