Severe Storms Possible Saturday Night

Storms will be increasing Saturday night. Storms overnight through Sunday morning will have the potential to bring damaging 58 + mph winds and large hail 1″ in diameter or greater. The timing of severe weather looks to be from 1AM Sunday through 9AM. This line looks to make it’s way near the Brunswick and Macon areas between 1AM and 3AM, and Columbia and Jefferson City between 4AM and 6AM as this line tracks southeast.

There looks to be a break after 9AM. Storms could redevelop along this line south of I-70 near HWY 50 during the day after 1PM. All of Mid-Missouri is under a Marginal Risk for severe weather by Sunday. Areas west of US 63 and north of I-70 look more favorable for wind damage in the morning.
