Overheated motor causes smoke at Burger King

An overheated motor in an HVAC unit sent smoke throughout a Columbia fast food restaurant Tuesday morning.

Fire crews responded to the Burger King on Business Loop 70 around 9 a.m. for a reported fire.

When the crews arrived, they found the restaurant filled with smoke. They discovered the overheated motor on the roof.

No one suffered injuries.
