Osage County Sheriff “not” resigning

ABC 17 News received several calls from viewers Wednesday night, asking about the status of embattled Osage County Sheriff Michael Dixon. The viewers cited resignation rumors.

ABC 17 News reached out to Sheriff Dixon about the claims. He said he has not resigned.

The presiding commissioner also said Dixon is still sheriff, but commissioners haven’t seen him in several months.

The Osage County Commission is set to meet Thursday morning at 8:30. ABC 17 News plans to attend to bring you the latest information.
