Trial set for man accused of stabbing Columbia man to death

A trial date was set Tuesday for a man accused of stabbing another Columbia man to death over a woman.

Jury selection for the Anthony Shegog case was delayed last month.

It’s now scheduled to start in late July.

Columbia Police believe Shegog was jealous because the victim, Walter Lige, was talking to his girlfriend.

Lige was found lying outside a home near Hickman High School last October.
