Highway Patrol to hand police shootout case to Boone Co. prosecutors
The Missouri State Highway Patrol confirmed to ABC 17 News it is ready to hand over its case from a deadly police shootout in a University of Missouri parking garage.
On Tuesday, officials said they have the Boone County Medical Examiner’s report.
Highway Patrol said it expects to send all of its files to prosecutors this week.
Mark Adair was killed on the MU campus in April after officers said he tried to car-jack two women at gunpoint earlier that same night, before escaping and launching a citywide manhunt.
