Two arrested in prostitution sting in Columbia

Two women were arrested Thursday as part of an undercover investigation into prostitution.

An undercover officer got in contact with Carmela Sanders and Randi Jo Bryant separately after finding their phone numbers in online advertisements.

Both women went to the Courtyard hotel on Industrial Blvd. near Highway 63 and Grindstone Pkwy.

Bryant was also arrested on drug-related charges after police say they found methamphetamine and marijuana in her purse.

Sanders’ bond was set at $500 and Bryant’s at almost $6,000.

Sanders is out of jail, but Bryant remains behind bars.
