Two racers injured in boat accident at Lake of the Ozarks Lake Shootout
Two racers are in the hospital after a boating accident at the lake of the Ozarks Lake Shootout Saturday morning.
Sunrise Beach Fire Chief Dennis Reilly told ABC 17 News the boat flipped over several times during a run before landing upright.
Emergency units were on the scene within seconds of the accident.
Reilly said both racers were extricated from the boat and transported off the lake.
One racer was taken be ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital. The other racer was in critical condition and flown to University Hospital in Columbia.
Right now, the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
