Saturday morning fire destroys east Columbia apartment complex
A fire early Saturday morning destroyed an apartment complex in east Columbia.
The fire started just before 4:30 a.m. at a complex on Sunny Vale Drive. Fire officials said it took several units about 30 minutes to contain the blaze.
One of the people living in the complex told ABC 17 News there were people inside when it caught fire, but everyone escaped without injuries.
The complex housed at least six different apartment units.
Fire investigators are still working to determine the cause.
As of Saturday night, there were no damage estimates.
