One person taken to hospital in shooting in central Columbia

One person was shot in central Columbia around 8:30 p.m. Friday night.

Police are looking for at least two possible suspects.

It happened near the intersection of Garth and Oak. Police have parts of both streets shut down. It’s just west of Douglass park.

We know the victim has non-life threatening injuries.

Early reports say he knew the people who fired the weapon.

Police say the suspect may have gotten away in a blue car.
