New retirement community brings more than 100 jobs
A new retirement community could bring more than 100 jobs to Osage Beach when it opens, according to an article from lakeexpo.com.
The article states Mayor Penny Lyons supported the proposed facility in front of a review committee for Arrowhead Retirement.
Lyons confirmed that information to ABC 17 News.
During the May 15 board of aldermen meeting, Lyons announced that the Midwest Health Facilities review committee voted and issued a Certificate of Need for the 90 assisted living and 80 skilled-nursing beds.
The estimated cost to build the facility is around $25.8 million, and will be located on Highway KK.
The facility will employ at least 125 people.
