Children hurt in Sedalia crash

Several children were hurt in a Friday night crash in Pettis County.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports, two cars hit at the intersection of Grand Avenue and U.S. 65 around 7:40 p.m.

The driver of a 1999 Chevrolet that pulled into the intersection, was hit, and rolled suffered serious injuries. Rebecca Iliff, 27, of Concordia, was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center.

An eight-year-old boy, Mikia Gallaway, in Iliff’s car was flown to Children’s Mercy Hospital with moderate injuries. Seven-year-old Serenity Gallaway was also taken to Bothwell.

Troopers reports showed Iliff’s car pulled in front of another car before it was hit.

Two St. Joseph girls in that car were also hurt. Paige and Phalyn Edwards reportedly suffered minor injuries.

The report said an investigation continued Saturday afternoon.
