Dr. Gerald Brouder retires as Columbia College president

Tuesday marked the last day for longtime Columbia College president Dr. Gerald Brouder.

Brouder served as the leader of the college for nearly 18 years.

Friends, family and coworkers gave him a sendoff that included a round of applause as he left the campus.

Dr. Terry Smith will take over the position on an interim basis as the college searches for a new president.
