Kidnapping, Rase Case Nears End

Closing arguments were delivered Thursday evening in the case against a rape and kidnapping suspect.ABC 17 News has been following Sean William’s trial all week. He is accused of kidnapping a woman, raping her, and keeping her hostage in a deep freezer in Moberly.Michael Wright and Tracy Stodgell both pleaded guilty to their roles in the crime. Police had said it all stemmed from a drug deal that escalated. Deputies say the three went to the Super 8 motel, kidnapped the woman, bound and gagged her. After that, Williams is accused of taking the woman to the freezer and raping her.Wright and Stodgell both testified against Williams.If found guilty, Williams could spend anywhere from three years in prison to multiple life sentences. On Thursday, closing arguments were heard. There is no word yet on when the case will be handed over to the jury.
