Tracking another round of rain Saturday, few snowflakes Sunday

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with showers beginning to taper off by midnight. We'll have a lull in rain overnight before the next round arrives Saturday. Lows in the mid-40s.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy with rain returning by mid-morning. Highs in the upper 40s to around 50.

EXTENDED: Showers and thunderstorms continue to march across Mid-Missouri this afternoon and evening, adding to the flooding risk across southern portions of Missouri where several roads have been closed near low water crossings. A few storms could produce hail along the I-44 corridor through late evening. We'll see a lull in widespread rain overnight, with the next round of showers moving in from the southwest by mid-morning. Rain tapers off into Saturday night and Sunday, with a few wet snow showers on the back side of the system into early Sunday. Temperatures reach the upper 40s to around 50 on Saturday and Sunday. Next week starts off chilly with frost likely on Monday and Tuesday mornings, but sunshine returns to warm us back into the mid-50s by Tuesday. Despite a mid-week cold front, we'll make it to the upper 60s on Wednesday with a chance of rain late in the day. The rest of the week is pleasant with highs in the lower 70s.
