RECALL ROUNDUP: Federal regulators recall applesauce pouches, eyedrops and children’s nightgowns

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Federal regulators have issued a recall for applesauce pouches popular with children.

The Food and Drug Administration has expanded its recall after the pouches can lead to possible lead exposure.

According to the FDA, the affected products are Wana-Bana Apple Cinnamon Puree Pouches sold nationwide through Amazon, Dollar Tree and other retailers.

Schnucks-brand cinnamon-flavor pouches and variety packs were also included in the recall.

Health officials say 22 toddlers have been sickened by lead in several states, including Missouri. The CDC says if your child has eaten these pouches you should get their lead levels tested immediately.

Eye drops

The recall list for eye drops has been expanded by federal regulators again.

Kilitch Healthcare India Limited has voluntarily recalled its eye drops for potential safety reasons. The FDA says it's for lubricant and multi-symptom eyedrops.

The affected products have expiration dates ranging from November 2023 to September 2025 and were sold at CVS, Rite Aid and Target.

After investigation, the FDA reports the recall comes after they found unsanitary conditions putting users at risk of infection.

Children's nightgowns

I-Moon-Z children's nightgowns are being recalled due to possible burn hazards.

The company says, 13,000 of its nightgowns sold on Amazon have been affected. The nightgowns were sold between March and June and were sold in several sizes and colors.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission says the recall comes after the gowns failed flammability standards. However, the company says no injuries have been reported.

Consumers are advised to stop using the gowns and contact the company for a refund.
