Flood Warning issued April 16 at 5:22PM CDT until April 17 at 6:00AM CDT by NWS Springfield MO

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…A portion of central Missouri, including the following
counties, Maries and Miller.

* WHEN…Until 600 AM CDT Friday.

* IMPACTS…Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams
continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 519 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated that heavy rain due to
thunderstorms fell across the headwaters of Tavern Creek and
tributaries. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly
along Tavern Creek this evening into tonight from the earlier
heavy rainfall in the warned area. Up to 3 inches of rain
have fallen.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Iberia and St. Elizabeth.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
