Woman killed in Gasconade County crash on Saturday

A 72-year-old woman was killed in a crash in Gasconade County on Saturday morning, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. on Saturday when a Nissan Frontier crossed the center line of the road along U.S. 50 near Route 19 and hit a Chevrolet 2500 truck head-on.

Barbara G. Weirich was a passenger in the Chevrolet truck and was killed and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck, 77-year-old Gary E. Weirich was seriously hurt in the crash.

The driver of the Nissan Frontier, 29-year-old Morgan K. Petschonek was moderately hurt in the crash.

This is Troop F's second fatality for the month of May and 27th of 2022.
