Mizzou wide receiver enters the transfer portal

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou sophomore wide receiver JJ Hester announced he will be entering the transfer portal on Wednesday night.

The Oklahoma-native always received high praise from head coach Eli Drinkwitz as one of the up and coming players in the program. Through the 2021 season Hester recorded 12 catches for 225 yards and two touchdowns.

In a social media post Hester said, "After long thought and consideration I will be putting my name into the transfer portal. I would like to thank the coaching staff for everything they've done for me. I won't forget the memories I've created since my time here. My brothers I hope to se you all do great things."

Hester was the top recruit in MU's 2020 class.
