Mizzou softball drops series to No. 13 Georgia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou softball team could not capture the series win against No. 13 Georgia on Saturday, falling 3-1 in the rubber match.

With the loss, MU dropped to 25-17 overall and 5-9 in the SEC this season.

The Tigers finished with just two hits through the entire game, courtesy of a knock from Kendyll Bailey and a home run from Brooke Wilmes. Georgia's Madison Kerpics pitched a complete game with eight strikeouts and just one earned run allowed.

Mizzou pitcher Jordan Weber was given the loss, as she went six innings with two strikeouts and three runs allowed.

Up next - Mizzou will host the SLU Billikens on Wednesday, April 20 at 4 p.m.
