Man charged with murder in Sedalia man’s drug overdose

KMIZ

SEDALIA, Mo. (AP) — Prosecutors say a man is charged with second-degree murder after a Sedalia man died from a drug overdose. Pettis County Prosecutor Phillip Sawyer charged 30-year-old Nathan Riga on Wednesday. Sedalia police say Riga supplied fentanyl to 24-year-old Micah Munro just hours before Munro died on Aug. 23, 2021. Toxicology reports determined Munro’s death was caused by fentanyl. Riga was arraigned on Wednesday. Online court records do not name an attorney for Riga.
