Tracking a warm start with a mid-week winter storm

Tonight: Winds continue out of the northwest at 4-8 mph with partly cloudy skies. The overnight lows drop into the mid to upper '20s.

Tomorrow: Winds switch back out of the southwest early Monday morning paired with mostly sunny skies allowing for temperatures to increase into the mid-'50s during the afternoon.

Extended: Tuesday morning, moisture ahead of an incoming cold front begins as showers lasting through early Tuesday evening. Temperatures slowly fall Tuesday night leading to showers transitioning into a wintry mix. Wednesday morning, temperatures will continue to fall leading to more widespread snow for portions of Mid-Missouri north of the I-44 corridor. Snow showers will stick around Wednesday night lasting until mid-day Thursday. The overnight low Thursday night drops down dangerously near or below one degree for Mid-Missouri.
