Tracking southern flow that will bring warmth and rain chances

TONIGHT: Cold air sticks around tonight. Temperatures will drop into the single digits overnight, with a slight breeze making it feel even colder. At worst, it may feel like subzero temperatures early Friday.

FRIDAY: After a cold start, temperatures will make their greatest jump in two days, with highs expected in the mid 20's. Southerly flow returns and carries us into the weekend where we will see above average temperatures and chances for rain.

EXTENDED: We jump into the 40’s on Saturday as we track our next shot at some rain to start the weekend. Southerly flow will bring more warmth and moisture by Saturday morning. Saturday precipitation remains a bit of a question mark. Initially it looks like showers will move in by the evening, with the possibility of them entering the area sooner. If we get showers to develop earlier in the day, we will have some concern for freezing rain. By late morning, temperatures should climb above freezing, which will bring an end to our freezing concerns. Highs on Sunday will cool back into the 30’s, where they’ll stay on Monday before we get back to the upper 40’s by the middle of next week.
