Tracking a warm start to the week

MONDAY: We’re in for a bright start to the workweek around Mid-Missouri. All the pieces, atmospherically, are in place to warm up the next few days. Highs today will make it into the low 60’s with plenty of sunshine around.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear skies will remain overhead, but we won’t cool off quite as much. Temperatures will bottom out in the low 40’s.

EXTENDED: A few more clouds will move in on Tuesday but given southerly winds underneath those, we’ll still push the mercury a little further. We’ll make it into the mid to upper 60’s Tuesday, and approach December records on Wednesday in the middle 70’s. A cold front will put an end to all of that Wednesday evening. It will also bring a line of showers and storms with it for the overnight hours. Right now, it doesn’t appear that these will be severe, but it’s something we’ll be tracking. That rain’s out of here Thursday morning, leaving us in the upper 40’s and low 50’s into Friday. Cooler weather will push in this weekend, brushing back highs into the 30’s Saturday, warming into the low 40’s Sunday.
