Tracking mild air before a return to more December-like weather

TONIGHT: Winds will shift out of the north this afternoon, and start to carry some cooler air in tonight. Overnight lows will fall all the way into the 30’s tonight under mostly clear skies.

TOMORROW: Saturday starts cool with partly cloudy skies. Saturday remains cool and dry, with highs in the low 50s with continued northerly flow. Clouds thicken late Saturday ahead of a chance for showers overnight into early Sunday.

EXTENDED: Temperatures will return to the low 60’s on Sunday ahead of our next cold front. That will pass through Sunday evening, developing rain by the time it reaches southeast Missouri. That will knock out highs into the low 40’s for the first half of next week. A few passing disturbances bear watching Tuesday and Wednesday, keeping the threat of a few showers around midweek.
