Tracking a chilly Monday before a warmup

THIS AFTERNOON: Cold in the mid-40s. Clouds make an exit just before sundown.

TONIGHT: Clear skies overnight will allow for a big cooldown. Lows bottom out in the upper 20s.

EXTENDED: Winds shift back from the south the next few days to usher in another warmup. Highs reach the mid-50s Tuesday and make a run for the low 60s on Wednesday. Cloud cover returns early Wednesday ahead of a cold front and a chance for showers. Rain arrives Wednesday evening with the potential for 0.25 to 0.5" overnight into Thursday. By sunrise on Thanksgiving, most of the area is clear and cool. Thanksgiving Day will be chilly in the low 40s before another slight warmup next weekend.
