Tracking one final warm day this week

few showers
KMIZ

WEDNESDAY: Temperatures will be mild for one last day before cooling off for the rest of the week. Unfortunately, a few showers will be possible throughout the day that we’ll have to dodge if you’re trying to get outside. Highs look to still make it into the mid to upper 60’s.

TONIGHT: Widespread showers with a few embedded rumbles of thunder push in this evening. The rain will stay with us overnight before leaving by sunrise. Lows will fall into the middle 40’s.

EXTENDED: We start to dry out on Veteran’s Day with the sunshine making a return. That will help temperatures reach the middle 50’s but we’ll be battling a westerly wind throughout the day. That wind will keep up Thursday night, pushing in the cold air. Lows will get into the 30’s Thursday night and we’ll only recover into the 40’s Friday with that wind sticking around. That’s about where we see things get over the weekend as well. A fast-moving disturbance will slide through Saturday night. This will bring a shot at some rain mixing in a few wet snowflakes at times. The best chance to see anything wintry flying will be north of I-70 but no impacts are expected. A warmup looks possible early next week, with a return to the 60’s as early as next Tuesday.
