Tracking high pressure and cold nights ahead

TONIGHT: A lot of sunshine and blue sky this morning looks to give way to a few high clouds this afternoon. High pressure remains overhead, bringing us a slight northerly breeze into the evening. High's this afternoon top out in the upper 40's. High clouds remain overnight, but won't keep temperatures from dipping into the low 30's overnight into Wednesday morning.

WEDNESDAY: Early morning poses a threat for frost as temperatures dip into freezing territory. Some will likely see freezing temperatures, but even those who stay slightly warmer will see potential for frost in low lying areas. Today's the day to bring in any remaining temperature sensitive plants. Expect afternoon highs in the low 50s.

EXTENDED: More clearing is expected Wednesday night, leaving temperatures a bit colder Thursday morning. Sunshine will be a staple of the forecast for the rest of the workweek. Partly to mostly clear skies also mean cold starts in the mornings. On Friday, we’ll start a slow warming trend that will continue through the weekend. We’ll get into the middle 50’s Friday, upper 50’s Saturday, and crack the 60’s by Sunday.
