Tracking cool air that will make for some chilly mornings this week
TONIGHT: We’re tracking scattered showers to our north, that are slowly entering our area this morning. These showers will be fighting a dry layer right above the surface, so what appears on radar, may not quite make it to the ground right away. Later this morning, towards the afternoon hours, our chances of feeling rain drops go up. Otherwise, expect a gray day with highs in the mid to upper 40's. Scattered showers will exit to our southeast overnight.
TUESDAY: Tomorrow starts chilly but dry, with lows in the mid-30's. With a chance at more sunshine, temperatures climb a few degrees warmer on Tuesday.
EXTENDED: The rest of the week is looking dry at this juncture. Temperatures will top out in the upper 40’s to near 50 just about every day of the workweek. Overnight lows will tumble throughout the week, into the low 30’s Tuesday and Wednesday night, with a shot to see some upper 20’s Thursday night. Any of the sensitive plants might be able to make it tonight, but you might as well bring them in with this being a sustained cool snap. While morning lows will nose dive, afternoon highs will fair quite well. We’ll get back into the low to mid 50’s this weekend.
