Tracking a beautiful Halloween weekend

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with patchy fog developing overnight. Gusty winds up to 30 mph. Lows in the mid-40s.

TOMORROW: Partly sunny with highs in the upper 50s.

EXTENDED: Clouds slowly work their way out tomorrow, but temperatures will be able to recover into the upper 50s during the day with more sunshine. Winds die down, allowing us to drop into the low 40s on Saturday night. Sunday looks perfect for any Halloween activities, with afternoon temperatures in the upper 50s and plenty of sun during the day. It will be cool for trick-or-treating, in the upper 40s to around 50 with clouds moving back in. We can expect clouds to roll back in on Monday as a quick-moving clipper will bring us a chance of a few showers Monday night into Tuesday, and bring temperatures into the upper 40s for highs. Another low pressure system to our south will bring a better shot at light rain Tuesday night into Wednesday, impacting the southern half of the state. Once this clears out Wednesday, we'll see drier weather for the rest of next week. As skies clear out on Thursday and Friday mornings, we'll have a shot at frost. My gut tells me the better chance will be on Friday morning with less cloud cover. Highs next week will be about 15 degrees cooler than normal in the upper 40s each afternoon, with mid-30s at night.
